INSANITY (Farewell version)
From DAVID SALLAY (SALLAYD@m.binghs.jordan.k12.ut.us)
During the verse of this song it is just screwing around on C#m. The
bass just plays a pedal on a 6-string bass on C# (I wouldn't know that
without the farewell video) The only part with actual chords is the
chorus's, they are the following:
E A D G B e
C#m: 9 11 11 9 x x
C#dim: 9 10 8 8 x x
G/(C#)* 9 10 12 (12) x x
F#/C# 9 9 11 (11) x x
A/E 12 12 14 (14) x x
D# x 18 20 20 x x
(*the C# is really there with the orchestra but sometimes it doesn't
sound right on the guitar)
this fill is also used sometimes - I'll call it fill 1
e--------------------------|
B--------------------------|
G--21--20------------------|
D----------19--------------|
A--------------------------|
E--------------------------|
at the time I do not have a guitar on me so this maybe a little off,
listen to the recording and you should know it is and figure it out
yourself if I indeed am incorrect.
this should help you along:
C#m C#dim
All around the world now
C#m G/(C#)
Like a big bright cherry cloud
F#/C# A/E
Traveling from home to home
C#m C#dim
T.V. sets and telephones
C#m C#dim
Here it comes just like a storm
C#m G/(C#)
Bathe in it and be reborn
F#/C# A/E
Time to let the world know
D# (fill 1)
Welcome Madness say hello
also in some of the verses the orchestra has a little progression using
the following:
E A D G B e
C#m: x 4 6 6 5 x
G/C#: x 4 5 4 x x
F#/C#: x 4 4 3 x x
A: x 0 2 2 x x
although these are the same chords as the verse I personally like the way
they sound in this position. Use them as follows:
C#m G/C#
Do you think you're better than me?
F#/C# A
Do you want to kill me, or befriend me?
